Bernd Haas is a Tyrolean guitarist, composer and arranger whose music combines and melds a spectacular variety of influences in highly original ways, sometimes conventionally, invariably with his own inimitable personality stamped on the final version. In his unending search for the essence of sound he creates works which are moving and powerful, luring listeners into unusual and unpredictable galaxies of sound.

VITA

Bernd Haas was born in Innsbruck in 1979 and, inspired by an early fascination, plunged into his music education with the study of jazz guitar at the State Conservatory of Tirol (graduated in 2004), took a B.A. degree in classical guitar at the Mozarteum Salzburg/Innsbruck (graduated with distinction in 2016) and concluded universitary studies with a Master Degree in Jazz Guitar (at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich in 2023).

He has taught classical and electric for about 20 years, including at Tiroler Musikschulwerk. Since his youth he has been a freelance musician in jazz and rock. His performances and appearances range from solo chamber music to participation in large ensembles. He composes and produces music for a variety of bands, for film, for cabaret. Numerous CD recordings have been released under diverse labels, including GLM, Quinton, Musikmuseum, Listen Closely.
